The following should give you a feel for the quiet beauty and romance that you can experience at the farm on your special day. This information should help you to envision you very own Gazebo wedding.

1. PRICES: The basic charge is $850 and includes 200 chairs. We need a final headcount 30 days before your wedding.

2. INCLUDED: Besides the gazebo and covered seating, there is a Bride’s Room, a nice place to get ready with your bridesmaids and a great backdrop for your photographer. Close to the gazebo area is a tent room where the wedding party comes out.

3. DEPOSIT: A $450 deposit is required upon booking.

4. BOOKING: If you book over the phone, or Internet, we will pencil you in for up to 15 days and will confirm upon receipt of your application and deposit. You will have the right of first refusal.

5. DÉCOR: Many wedding groups chose to keep the flowers and decorations very simple and let nature be the star. Around the base of the gazebo are hydrangeas and simple natural-looking plantings surrounding the seating area. Creativity and grand style are also available from one of our local nurseries or florists.

6. YOUR OFFICIANT: You may provide you own clergy or notary public to perform your marriage vows, or Farview Farms can refer you to a minister or non-denominational wedding official.

7. LAGNIAPPE:

  • DOVE RELEASES – Our beautiful white doves are symbolic of many things and add a memorable finale to your out door wedding.
  • TRANSPORTATION – We offer a tractor-drawn trolley to bring your guests on a short colorful ride around the farm while photos are being taken, or directly to the pavilion. Also, available in the area, an enclosed trolley, the Duck land/amphibious vehicle, and local busses.
  • SPECIAL OPTIONS - The Enchanted Forest nearby is a good backdrop for a theme-wedding photo.
  • PAMPER YOURSELF – Less than five minutes away is a wonderful day spa. Also, masseuses have come to the farm to soothe and relax our guests.

8. MICHIGAN MARRIAGE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

10. BIG PAVILION (Please check to make sure this will be available for your wedding date) – Imagine a 62’ by 100’ open air pavilion. Restrooms, decorated ALA rustic-elegant, and a serving area in an old western town theme, plus a few antique pieces create a valley place that is magical. Limited seating and tables are included. Rental is $1,500 up to midnight.

  • CATERING OPTIONS – You may cater your own, family style, or hire the caterer of your choice. Our charge to him is 10% of the total.
  • ALCOHOL – Keggers bad! If you plan on alcohol, we require a state mandated bartender. To lessen your liability and ours in this litigious age, we suggest a little champagne and then send the party drinkers to some of the wonderful little bars in Saugatuck to continue their evening.
  • THEMES - In the past 5 years of weddings, we’ve had a wonderful and imaginative assortment of weddings. We’ve had Renaissance weddings, African weddings, tails with tennis shoes, and many others. What a pleasure for us! We will work with you to give your wedding your own very special touch. We would love to have a wedding on horseback. Would you like to be the first?

Today’s reception can be very personal and unorthodox too. We’ve had receptions with the guests wearing jeans and enjoying the petting farm, hayrides, Enchanted Forest and even the giant balloon slingshot! It was like a big happy family reunion. Lots of guests set up a projector and show pictures of the bride and groom growing up and getting engaged. Sometimes they play games, asking guests questions about the bride and groom. (What is the most embarrassing thing the bride ever did with the groom during dating?) You can have fun and keep it simple and happy.
