WHY HAVE A COMPANY PICNIC?

There are lots of reasons to have a company picnic at Farview Farms. Sure, it’s a great excuse to get out of the office; but look beyond the obvious and see why a company picnic can be critical to your organization. For one thing, it’s BEING PART OF A TEAM. This is an opportunity to show your employees how much you value their contribution. It lets them know they’re an important part of a whole team effort. And that means increased camaraderie and renewed trust, which can lead to increased productivity. AN OLD-FASHIONED PICNIC IS RIGHT IN STYLE: There is simply no substitute for an old-fashioned picnic at Farview Farms. Together, employees can enjoy the beautiful tall woods, dramatic ravine, winding Silver Creek, and long country vistas. They can revel in the variety of activities available. Here, there are no rides to run away to or take attention away from the real purpose of the event – to be together as a company, talking one-on-one with all levels of employees, meeting on the common ground of a volleyball court or a creek side trail. We look forward to enjoying many years of sharing a very special 50 acres of Michigan’s natural beauty with you, our honored guest.

Basic plan cost is $7.75 for adults, ages 13 and up and $5.75 for children, ages 2 –12. 200 guests are the smallest group for a Saturday picnic. Included are the following activities:

Here is a breakdown of popular optional add-on activities:

1. Petting farm upgrade – 2 hours - $150
Includes 4 kinds of farm animals closely supervised by our staff. The choice of animals may vary according to which baby or adult animals are ready at your date. This package includes petting, brushing, feeding, holding, and loving our gentle creatures up close. Very popular with all age groups!
2. Face painting – 1 hour - $35
3. Bingo – 1-1/2 hours with staff person - $100
4. Spoons – 1-1/2 hours with staff person - $65
5. Pony rides – 2 hours - $250
Includes 4 miniature horses & ponies all saddled up & ready to go.
6. Super Slingshot - 1 hour - $125
Shoots over 200 feet at targets with water balloons, small pumpkins, etc
(usually 350-400 shots per hour)

Additional guests are charged at $ 7.75 per adult and 5.75 per child. Optional add-ons’ cost would not change with additional guests.

Here is a list of more extras that would be available:
7. Four old fashioned carnival booths – per hour - $175 (2 hours minimum)
Includes variety, such as clothespin drop into the bottle, beanbag toss, bowling, go fish, cork-gun target shooting, Ping-Pong toss into moving targets in small pool and probably more that we haven’t thought of yet. A small prize is given to every child who plays for each game – 4 prizes total per child. Includes 4 staff members.
8. Tug ‘o’ War – up to 1 hour with thick 100’ rope, 1 staff - $35
9. 50’s package – 2 hours with 2 staff persons - $150

Some of the best fun from the good old days! Includes (12) hula hoops, (6) sacks for 3-legged races, spoon relay races, (12) yo-yo’s (3) sets of stilts, (24) bottles of bubbles and more. Larger quantities are available with prior notice.


All of the above are a la carte. We will be glad to meet with your committee, at your company, to go over details, answer questions and facilitate a happy and memorable picnic. Farview Farms also offers a detailed proposal to plan and produce every detail of your event. Call for a bid. All activities are checklisted by you and delivered by us. This will free up your employees, so they may continue their regular jobs.

We work closely with the caterers and other vendors, such as inflatables, DJ, clowns, balloon artist, a frisbee catching dog, a trick roper cowgirl and more. We really love to be creative and come up with a custom theme and carry it through. Upon receipt of your deposit and reservation form, we will provide you with a detailed workbook so that the many details are clearly communicated and the picnic goes very smoothly.
